Happy Easter you lovely lot! I hope you’ve all enjoyed a nice extended weekend and refrained from eating yourselves into a chocolate induced food coma. We made the most of the dry bank holiday on Friday and headed to the picturesque town of Knaresborough for a change of pace and scenery. Recent rainy weather aside, it feels like spring is slowly creeping up on us and I couldn’t be happier. One of the perks of living in Leeds is the close proximity to everything Yorkshire has to offer; the dales, seasides, woodlands  and lovely little towns like Knaresborough.  I mean look at that view – quintessential English postcard right there! Although it’s not a huge place, there’s plenty to keep you occupied for the day.

Things to Do

  1. peruse the antique shops;
  2. cruise the river in a rowing boat – it’s only £12 for 1 hour;
  3. enjoy afternoon tea by the river;
  4. tackle the 200+ stairs leading to the castle remains;
  5. you can also take in the panoramic view from here.
