This scratch map (from Urban Outfitters) was a Christmas present from Darren last year and I still haven’t hung it yet. This is mainly because I’ve been on the hunt for something a little more exciting than the average photo frame. I also need to be able to scratch off places easily.
I came across some map prints on Pinterest that were framed in this vintage style and decided to have a go at replicating one. As it turns out, it’s really easy…

YOU WILL NEED: A PRINT TO FRAME | STRONG TAPE | STRING | SCISSORS | TWO THIN WOODEN STRIPS CUT TO DESIRED LENGTH

HOW TO:
1. Cut two identical pieces of wood to your desired length.
2. Place the top of the print half way up the width of the wood and tape into place.
3. Repeat with the bottom piece of wood.
4. Cut a piece of the string to your desired length, and securely tape each end an identical distance from the end of the print.

  1. I have one of those maps as well! It’s a little less scratched off than yours though, so I haven’t hung it up yet..

Soon enough I’ll be able to cross some more countries off my list!
